APE Aquaponics grows lettuces using an aquaponic growing technique that includes rainwater, tilapia, LED lighting and lettuce grown from seeds. All APE products are non-GMO and no artificial fertilizers or insecticides are used in the process. The fertilizer we use come from the tilapia waste, which is a cold-blooded fish, and so the possibility of E. coli or Salmonella bacteria contamination is almost completely eliminated. APE also continuously recycles rainwater as it passes through the fish tanks and grow tables.
